This park is just a wayside parking lot on the ocean side of Hwy. 101 at the north end of Lincoln City. It has bathrooms and water, but little else. The beach is just feet from the parking lot, and it isn’t a very long stroll to the water; however, most of the parking lot is roped off and only has two access points to the sand. It is named for the shortest river in the world (supposedly), the D River. Basically, it is Devil’s Lake run-off. The beach is fairly clean, since the wind takes everything out to sea, but there are cigarette butts and bottle caps everywhere. People see the beach as one big litter box, which isn’t pleasant to walk on. I prefer to drive into and pay for the smaller state parks, where they have daily upkeep and cleaning personnel. I would by-pass this park, if I was you.
