Breakfast this morning was at McDonald’s in Galt, CA. It was right off the Hwy. 99, so very accessible. It was in a very tight and weird spot, and the person on the mic was helpful, but the window people did not seem to appreciate my asking for a cup of ice, dumping it in my own cup, and handing it back to them. I think they like easy in and out customers. I would have loved to have seen a smile on this sunny Californian morning, but I was not to see one. Ah well, that’s the way it goes. The food was typical McDonald’s fare, and I think I’m going to find the odd drive-thrus from now on, as I get bored with corporation food. It’s like airline food without the mileage.
